Minority Supplier of the Year
October 2, 2008
The Ross Group Construction Corporation was recognized as "Minority Supplier of the Year" in the Class 4 category for its support of Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) at the 18th Annual Oklahoma Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC) Awards Gala held at the Oklahoma City Marriott Hotel on Thursday, October 2, 2008.
Warren Ross, The Ross Group CEO accepted the award.
"It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the OMSDC for the company’s long-term commitment to minority suppliers," said Ross. "Entering into its 30th year, The Ross Group’s Minority Business Subcontracting program and procurement professionals work hard to enable qualified minority and women-owned subcontractors to effectively compete on contracts that the company is awarded."
The company was recognized as Minority Supplier of the Year in the Class 4 category based upon its spending with MBEs, its Minority Business Subcontracting plans, its supplier diversity programs and leadership within the minority- and women-owned supplier community, among other factors.
The OMSDC serves as the premier minority-business organization in the state of Oklahoma, providing a platform for connecting minority companies and corporate supporters and advocating the success of both. The Ross Group was an early supporter of the OMSDC and continues as a key partner to the organization.
